Honey

We depend upon our honey bees to pollinate our fruits and vegetables.

Our  honey is a blend of local seasonal wild flowers. Bees will fly up to 2 miles so  they will gather pollen from numerous flowering plants and trees at any given time.

The color and flavor of honey depends upon the flowers that provided the nectar. As a rule, the lighter the honey, the milder the honey flavor; the darker the honey, the bolder the flavor.

Honey is an excellent energy food because it contains simple sugars that the body can use quickly. Honey is a safe and wholesome food for children and adults. (However, honey should not be given to infants under one year of age.) Honey has medicinal properties as well.
